Way to Hotel
Access is particularly easy for the main target market of motorists. Just a few miles off Junction 32 of the M6 motorway-where it interchanges with the M55-you can leave the motorway and be at Whitburn House Hotel within ten minutes, without having to negotiate Preston's city center one-way systems. The entrance to the hotel is right on the main road but parking is at its rear; normally driving through a narrow archway or side drive into an equally spacious secure car park large enough even for vans-this seems to appeal quite strongly among tradesmen.
The hotel is a little over one and a half miles from Preston Railway Station. In case you are considering walking, let me dissuade you: part of the way is an uphill slog, so grab one of the taxis waiting at the rank outside the station-it will set you back between £6 and £8 depending on traffic.[4] Failing that,[5]this being Preston, the buses are brilliant! Bus stops almost directly outside[6]the hotel serve several major routes(like40/41or19),connecting you to the station, the hospital, and city center with high frequency.
For international travelers arriving at Manchester (MAN) or Liverpool John Lennon (LPL) airports, the best connection is by train to Preston station. Preston is a major rail hub on the West Coast Main Line and there are frequent direct trains from Manchester Airport, with a journey time of around one hour. Once at the station, switching over to a local taxi for that last mile(an option more preferred if arriving late at night), shall be less stressful than struggling with another connecting service.
